The UYP Way: Parkour with Purpose

Students train across 7 structured levels through our 13-week program, building skills in the 6 core areas of parkour: Ukemi, Jumps, Vaults, Walls, Bars, and Freerunning.

Each week pairs a skill focus with one of our 12 core attributes—like resilience, integrity, and adaptability—combining physical development with powerful life lessons in confidence, focus, teamwork, and self-growth.

What to Expect in Class

Arrival & Check-In
Arrive a few minutes early. Our coaches will greet your child and help them feel focused and ready to go.

0–10 Minutes: Skill-Based Warm-Up
We start fast—with a warm-up that teaches real parkour skills. Students build muscle memory and technique through guided movements tied directly to what they’ll be tested on later in their level. No time wasted—just smart movement from the start.

10–15 Minutes: Stretches & Group Setup
Quick, purposeful stretches are turned into games and challenges to keep students engaged while warming up. We take attendance and split into small groups.

15–35 Minutes: First Rotation
Students train one of the week’s core parkour areas through drills, stations, and structured obstacle course flow.

35–55 Minutes: Second Rotation
We introduce new challenges and reinforce skills, encouraging effort, precision, and adaptability.

55–60 Minutes: Group Activity & Wrap-Up
The class ends with a group game or challenge, followed by a quick recap and announcements.

At Urban Youth Park, growth happens one level at a time. Our structured progression path is designed to build confidence, strength, and skill—without the pressure. From foundational movement to advanced creativity, each level meets your child where they are and helps them reach for more. With coaches who believe in them and a community that lifts them up, your child won’t just level up in parkour—they’ll level up in life.

Level 1: Foundations

Ages 6+

In Level 1, students will build FOUNDATIONS for their parkour journeys. In this engaging introductory class, students will learn the basics of movement. Each session is designed to keep students highly active with the opportunity to foster friendships. Our amazing coaches work with each athlete individually and empower them to reach their true potential.

Progression: Typically, students complete 1-2 sessions before passing to Level 2.

Level 2: Elements

Ages 6+

In Level 2, students will assemble the necessary ELEMENTS that make up the core of great parkour athletes. Students will delve deeper into the foundations of parkour technique. Students will improve full body strength and control in this class, where they leave each time eagar for more training!

Progression: Typically, students complete 2-3 sessions before passing to Level 3.

Level 3: Accelerate

Ages 6+

In Level 3, students will ACCELERATE their parkour journeys into high gear! Students will now wear shoes as their training now takes them to harder surfaces. This energetic class focuses on building confidence and body control, setting the stage for further growth in their parkour journey.

Progression: Typically, students complete 3-4 sessions before passing to Level 4.

Level 4: Elevate

Ages 8+

In Level 4, students will ELEVATE their skills & mindsets! They will embrace difficult challenges with determination and form mental strength. Students experience the true joy in pushing themselves physically & mentally, learning that they can achieve anything if not more than what they see other people achieve. These incredible athletes will reach new heights (literally).

Progression: Typically, students complete 4-5 sessions before passing to Level 5.

Level 5: Integrate

Ages 8+

In Level 5, students will INTEGRATE their strength, knowledge, and discipline to perform parkour at an advanced level. With a solid foundation established, participants will commit to challenges tailored to their skills and mindset, learning to navigate the complexities of being a high-level athlete. This stage fosters adaptability and resilience, empowering students to push their limits and explore new possibilities.

Progression: Typically, students complete several years of training before passing to Level 6.

Level 6: Innovate

Ages 10+

In Level 6, students will INNOVATE by combining their diverse skillset with a style of movement unique to each athlete. With the massive level of commitment and great amount of trial and error to reach this point, students now have the freedom to bend the traditional rules of the parkour. They begin to uncover their true potential, that can only emerge from a deep understanding of sport and themselves. Creativity is key.

Progression: Typically, students complete several years of training before passing to Level 7.
